The Wolf

Four old friends go to the cabin in the wood to celebrate one of them completing chemotherapy. As they set about to drinking and catching up, they discover there's a wolf outside stalking the cabin. No matter--they plan to stay indoors partying anyway. But as the night goes on and…boys being boys…one of them feels picked on enough to grab a knife and go outside to slay the wolf. His friends have no choice then but to run out and try to stop him before he gets killed.

There's an upright piano downstage-right thru the whole show. The pianist is fully aware of the audience and the space in general as he plays, seemingly telling the story with his hands.

What regrets do we uncover in ourselves once our inhibitions are down? This one-act with four men and a piano is an exploration of that.

Holy spirits fill me up,

Drinking from a tiny cup.

And if I may swear it so,

Motherfucker down you go.
